But to see this year's only Total Solar Eclipse, you have to be somewhere in the stormy North Atlantic Ocean, or above it!

TSE 2015 seating options: Very Limited Availability
First Class Experience

Price: £ TBA

*TWO extra guest free

 Limited Availability

This utilizes the First Class area of our giant Boeing 747-400 aircraft. There are only 5 seat bays on the eclipse side of the aircraft and each has two windows. A small conference seat is available in the bay allowing a guest to share the space in comfort. At the discretion of the ticket holder a companion may accompany them for free. Sharing a single window is not recommended due to the short duration of the event, however the primary ticket holder may include a third close family member or mutual companion for free at their discretion. It is strongly recommended that all parties understand the limitations of sharing a single window well in advance. There is a limited power supply available.

Corporate customers or large groups who would like to reserve the entire First Class Cabin for an exclusive function should act very quickly. The entire Cabin may be reserved for £ TBA. It can accommodate a maximum of 14 people at no extra cost, but will only have 10 windows on the eclipse side of the aircraft.

Officially each bay has only one seat, but there is ample room for an additional person to comfortably kneel. At the discretion of the ticket holder a companion may accompany them for free, sitting in the neighboring chair at other times. Sharing a single window is not recommended due to the short duration of the event, however the ticket holder may include a third close family member or mutual companion for free at their discretion. It is strongly recommended that all parties understand the limitations of sharing a single window well in advance. There is a limited power supply available.

Corporate customers or large groups who would like to reserve the entire Upper Deck Cabin for an exclusive function should act very quickly. The entire Cabin may be reserved for £ TBA. Stretch, relax, bring all your camera equipment because space is plentiful! Sharing is not recommended due to the short duration of the event, however the primary ticket holder may include an additional close family member or mutual companion for free at their discretion.

Due to the possibility of B747-400 seating variations within the fleet, there is a chance that your window will not be located exactly as depicted. Every effort will be made to guarantee a satisfactory window replacement of suitable standard.

School Student Package

Would you like to sponsor a group from your old School? Perhaps just pass our details to your favorite College. The best way to learn is to be inspired! www.E2015.co.uk
Unique Educational Experience  A special price only offered to students travelling together from a school/college/or university in coordination with the Headmaster. This group ticket offers an exclusive offer for everyone to enjoy a single seat, but all sharing a single window. There is freedom of movement, but at the time of Eclipse there is only the single window for all to share. All groups must have an escort which is free of charge but is not offered an additional window. The limiting amount of participants is 5, plus the escort making a maximum group size of 6. It is expected that each group will be pre-aware of the complexities of sharing a window. For example, at just over 3 and a half minutes duration, each in the group should have over 30 seconds. It is a personal choice of the individual whether that is sufficient time to witness an experience of a lifetime. There may be views of interest on the other side of the aircraft when it is not your turn. Every effort will be made to ensure that the movements required by the group will be non-disruptive to the other passengers. For this reason seat allocations will commence from the rear of the aircraft. (On a personal note, I can still vividly remember my first eclipse in 1979 when I was 12 years old, over 36 years ago! Its an individual choice that we are offering to students through the coordination of their Headmaster, says Brian Whittaker)

There are 5 things to notice during a Total Solar Eclipse. First, it starts with the Diamond Ring effect as the last of the bright sun disappears behind the moon. Second is the amazing Solar Corona that can only be seen from Earth during totality. Third is the vivid pink of a Solar Prominence and Flares which you can safely look at with binoculars once totality has started. Fourth you will notice that you are in a giant shadow covering a huge area unlike you have ever seen before. But also, fifth don't forget to look for bright stars and planets. You only have 3 minutes! Ready, Set, Go!

The TSE, or Total Solar Eclipse, of 2015 is the only one of the year. Although some years there can be none, or as many as two, they are often over remote parts of the world. This TSE path is over a very stormy part of the North Atlantic Ocean during a time of winter weather. [NASA-2015-Path] Land fall is only on the remote Faroe Islands and even remoter Island of Svalbard. Unusually, there is a TSE across America in 2017 which will be widely observed, but the general rule is that no human will randomly see one unless they make a significant effort to chase one. [NASA-future-List] There are actually four eclipses this year, but a TSE is very different and there is only one of those. But a Total Solar Eclipse is the best experience by far and will last as an astonishing memory for a lifetime. Only the TSE will turn day into night and show you the Solar Prominences and Corona.  [NASA-Eclipses-of-2015]  It truly is amazing! Without doubt a real chance of a lifetime!

Simulation of eclipse showing location of planets during totality. Venus should be easily visible! Mars and Mercury will be more difficult. There is an unlikely, but theoretical chance of Aurora during the eclipse.

Where are you going to be? Who will be beside you?

Some people have chosen winter cruises or tours! We love this remote area and highly recommend a visit there, but remind you that it is off-season for a reason! Winter weather there can be extremely unpredictable. Samples of other cruise tours:

"Eclipse of the Century" [link], Travel Quest Tours [link], Omega Holidays cruise with BBC Sky at Night hosts [link],  Black Watch  [link],  Boudicca  [link], and many others. Their duration should be just over 2 and a half minutes if they get clear skies.

Some, like you, have chosen an airplane to get above the stormy winter weather and return the same day. Here are some for you to compare. Some aircraft are very small, ours is very big, none are cheap because it is just too remote. The Moon's shadow moves across the Earth extraordinarily fast! However, by flying quickly with the shadow, we should be able to extend the eclipse an extra minute to approximately 3:45 minutes duration.

Travel Quest Air Berlin Charter [link] from Dusseldorf (They are sold out with a waiting list, but tickets are approximately £4100 to £5600 on this smaller B737 jet). Dr. Glenn Schneider of the Steward Observatory, Arizona, describes his charter with great detail [link] and you may find his descriptions interesting. Here is another link for two small Falcon 7X business jets out of Paris and Geneva [link]. Their prices range between approximately £3700 and £6000. There are various cheaper flights from smaller regional airports that may fit your budget.

Enjoy reading about the others but only we offer a giant twin-aisle luxury B747 with plenty of space to walk and stretch. Our service ceiling of 45,000 feet should ensure that we are clear of the winter weather. It will be spectacular!
